Alain is passionate about chasing the finest rums around the world, often in very limited production, and he distributes them without additives, for his connoisseurs customers to have the opportunity to enjoy them at their purest.
After spending all his childhood living in several tropical island such as Seychelles / New Caledonia /Reunion and Martinique and after many years working in the food and beverage industry and drinking exceptional rum along the way, Alain thought that Taiwan could be a great place to open a high standard rum bar (OLE rum Bar).
Alain Mona is the CEO of RHUM BY OLE and founder of OLE RUM BAR in Taipei, Taiwan. Alain imports many Premium Brands like NEISSON/ HSE/ MHOBA Rum and other OB Super premium IB, such as OLD Brother/ Swell Of Spirit/ Romdeluxe/ Nobilis brands.
His ambition was at first to promote premium Rhum to Taiwanese customers, who love premium spirits like Whisky ! He then created his own Brand RHUM BY OLE, after realising that the weather in Taiwan was perfectly suited for ageing some great & rare rums from around the globe (stay tuned!).
Recognising that access to unadulterated rums was sadly extremely limited in Asia! Passionate about sharing his passion for top quality rums at his bar, through extensive tasting sessions.
